Analytics for Shopware 6
Privacy-friendly web analytics for Shopware with Matomo or Plausible, cookieless by default
Analytics
Most analytics plugins lock you into one platform and set cookies by default, which immediately means a cookie banner and consent management. Analytics separates 'what you measure' from 'where it goes': Matomo and Plausible are included, switching is a setting, and the default is cookieless with IP anonymisation and respect for Global Privacy Control. The paid plugin adds conversion goals on orders and server-side tracking, so your dashboards show revenue instead of page views only — even when an ad blocker stops the script.
What the free edition does
- Matomo and Plausible included; switching backend is a setting, not a reinstall; choice per sales channel
- Cookieless by default: no cookies, IP anonymisation and Do Not Track respect are on; admin users are not counted
- Global Privacy Control: when the browser sends
Sec-GPC: 1, no tracking script is loaded at all - E-commerce events out of the box: product view, cart, order and site search (Matomo) and purchase revenue (Plausible)
- Custom dimensions for brand and page type, so you can filter Matomo reports per brand or per page kind
- Extensible: add your own backend through one interface; export and import settings in the admin
Open source under the MIT licence, installed directly via Composer, with no registration and no licence key. This edition is frozen: it gets no new features, but it does get security and compatibility fixes until at least December 2032. Existing installs keep working.

Analytics in the Shopware Store
One plugin with everything in it: all the free edition does, and on top of that:
- Server-side tracking: orders, checkout steps and add-to-cart go from your shop server to Matomo or Plausible, without JavaScript, so ad blockers cannot drop them
- Consent respected: always in cookieless mode, otherwise only after consent for statistics; nothing is sent with GPC or Do Not Track, and an order never counts twice
- Orders as a Matomo goal:
trackGoalwith your goal ID and the order revenue on the order confirmation page - Custom Plausible event (default 'Purchase') with revenue, currency, order number and item count for revenue reporting
- Per sales channel: master switch, Matomo goal ID, Plausible event name and whether revenue is included
- Zero footprint: nothing is rendered or sent without configuration; no telemetry to us
- Export all tracking settings (including the free edition's, per sales channel) as JSON from the settings
You rent the plugin monthly or yearly through the Shopware Store, with the Store's free trial month. No add-on, no licence key, nothing else to install.
Moving from the free edition keeps your settings and data. Uninstall the free edition with the option to keep its data; on installation the paid plugin takes over the configuration and tables, and tells you if you forget that step.

Works with the rest of the range
Plugins of the range detect each other and connect automatically when they are installed together, for example newsletter sign-ups from the launch page or encyclopedia pages as a dimension in Analytics. Each plugin also works on its own; nothing is gated behind buying another one.
Requirements
- Shopware: 6.7
- PHP: 8.2+
Support
For the paid plugin through the Shopware Store's ticket system. For the free edition through the issues of the Bitbucket repository; security reports as described in the repository's SECURITY.md.
Data and privacy
No visitor data is stored on your Shopware server, only configuration. In the free edition, page views and events go straight from the browser to the Matomo or Plausible instance you configure (cookieless with anonymised IP by default). The paid plugin adds per-order revenue, currency, order ID/number and item count (revenue can be switched off), and can also send order and checkout events from your shop server, under the same consent rules. Nothing is sent to ten Bruggencate Development.
Quality
PHPStan level 8, PHPUnit and PHP-CS-Fixer as quality gates per repository. Documentation, changelogs and snippets in Dutch, English and German. No advertisements or upgrade prompts inside the Shopware Administration.
