Stock Alert for Shopware 6

Turn 'sold out' into a waiting list: customers get an email as soon as the product is back

Stock Alert

A sold-out product is a visitor who leaves, and usually does not come back. Stock Alert puts 'Notify me when it's back' on products and variants that cannot be bought. Visitors confirm their email address with double opt-in, and as soon as the product is back every waiting customer gets an email — through Shopware's Flow Builder, so you can edit it like any other shop mail. In the admin you see who is waiting and which products are most in demand. The paid plugin is in development and lets customers follow a kind of product instead of a single item, with a fair queue for unique items and price-drop alerts.

What the free edition does

  • 'Notify me when it's back' below the buy box of products and variants that cannot be bought
  • Double opt-in for visitors, one click for logged-in customers, and one-click unsubscribe from every mail
  • 'Back in stock' email as soon as the product can be bought again, longest-waiting first and never twice; edit the mail and the flow in Flow Builder
  • Admin overview (Catalogues → Stock alerts) with the most requested products, and 'N customers waiting' on the product page
  • Abuse protection with the captcha you already use and a limit per IP; the response never reveals who is on which list
  • Retention built in: old requests are cleaned up automatically; settings per sales channel, in Dutch, English and German

Open source under the MIT licence, installed directly via Composer, with no registration and no licence key. This edition is frozen: it gets no new features, but it does get security and compatibility fixes until at least December 2032. Existing installs keep working.

Stock Alert in the Shopware Store

One plugin with everything in it: all the free edition does, and on top of that what we are building now:

  • Follow a kind of product instead of a single item: a property (such as a tea's origin), a category or a brand
  • Instant or digest emails: the customer chooses whether each new match arrives right away or bundled
  • A fair queue for unique items and small series
  • Price-drop alerts
  • 'My alerts' in the customer account
  • Demand dashboard: see which products and kinds of product are most requested

You rent the plugin monthly or yearly through the Shopware Store, with the Store's free trial month. No add-on, no licence key, nothing else to install.

Moving from the free edition keeps your settings and data. Uninstall the free edition with the option to keep its data; on installation the paid plugin takes over the configuration and tables, and tells you if you forget that step.

The plugin is still in development and not in the Shopware Store yet. Tell us what your shop needs: we will take it into account, and you will hear when it is available.

Works with the rest of the range

Plugins of the range detect each other and connect automatically when they are installed together, for example newsletter sign-ups from the launch page or encyclopedia pages as a dimension in Analytics. Each plugin also works on its own; nothing is gated behind buying another one.

Requirements

  • Shopware: 6.7
  • PHP: 8.2+

Support

For the paid plugin through the Shopware Store's ticket system. For the free edition through the issues of the Bitbucket repository; security reports as described in the repository's SECURITY.md.

Data and privacy

For each request the free edition stores the email address, the product, the sales channel, the language, the status and the dates (requested, confirmed, notified); the customer ID only for a logged-in customer, and no IP address. The double opt-in is the proof of consent and every mail contains an unsubscribe link. Closed requests are deleted automatically after 30 days, waiting ones after a configurable period (180 days by default). The mails go out through your own shop; nothing is sent to third parties.

Quality

PHPStan level 8, PHPUnit and PHP-CS-Fixer as quality gates per repository. Documentation, changelogs and snippets in Dutch, English and German. No advertisements or upgrade prompts inside the Shopware Administration.
