Product Encyclopedia for Shopware 6

Educational knowledge pages about your range, built into your Shopware shop

Product Encyclopedia

Customers buying coffee, wine or tools want to understand what they are buying first — and that explanation belongs in your own shop, not on a blog elsewhere. Product Encyclopedia gives you a browse grid that grows quickly with your range and in-depth profile pages for the topics that deserve real attention, fully server-rendered and discoverable by search engines. The paid plugin links the matching products to each profile.

What the free edition does

  • Two tiers: fast-growing browse grid (title, one-liner, filter) plus in-depth profiles with sections, attributes and tags
  • Filter pills on the grid and attribute pages per group and value, server-rendered — works without JavaScript
  • SEO built in: Article JSON-LD, canonical URLs, meta descriptions, inclusion in sitemap.xml and hreflang on multi-language sales channels
  • Accessible: logical heading structure, filters as plain links, support for reduced motion and high contrast (WCAG 2.2 AA)
  • Content comes from PHP registries in your project, without extra database tables; unsafe image URLs and broken links are flagged
  • Settings per sales channel: on/off, item naming (singular and plural), filter attribute; EN/NL/DE plus JSON backup of the configuration

Open source under the MIT licence, installed directly via Composer, with no registration and no licence key. This edition is frozen: it gets no new features, but it does get security and compatibility fixes until at least December 2032. Existing installs keep working.

Paid plugin · coming to the Shopware Store

Product Encyclopedia in the Shopware Store

One plugin with everything in it: all the free edition does, and on top of that:

  • Choose per profile which products are recommended and in what order
  • A 'Related products' section using Shopware's standard product cards: price, availability and add-to-cart work out of the box
  • Managed in the settings: product picker with search-as-you-type, list with edit and delete; EN/NL/DE
  • Robust: deleted products lose their links automatically, no duplicate links, profiles without links stay unchanged
  • Twig helpers tb_pepro_related_products() and tb_pepro_load_related_products() for your own templates
  • Export all data button: JSON with links and configuration, also via API; keep or remove data on uninstall

You rent the plugin monthly or yearly through the Shopware Store, with the Store's free trial month. No add-on, no licence key, nothing else to install.

Moving from the free edition keeps your settings and data. Uninstall the free edition with the option to keep its data; on installation the paid plugin takes over the configuration and tables, and tells you if you forget that step.

Works with the rest of the range

Plugins of the range detect each other and connect automatically when they are installed together, for example newsletter sign-ups from the launch page or encyclopedia pages as a dimension in Analytics. Each plugin also works on its own; nothing is gated behind buying another one.

Requirements

  • Shopware: 6.7
  • PHP: 8.1+

Support

For the paid plugin through the Shopware Store's ticket system. For the free edition through the issues of the Bitbucket repository; security reports as described in the repository's SECURITY.md.

Data and privacy

The free edition creates no database tables and stores no visitor data; only the plugin settings live in Shopware's system configuration and the content lives in your project's PHP registries. The paid plugin adds one table (tb_pepro_profile_product_link) with profile key, product ID and position — no personal data.

Quality

PHPStan level 8, PHPUnit and PHP-CS-Fixer as quality gates per repository. Documentation, changelogs and snippets in Dutch, English and German. No advertisements or upgrade prompts inside the Shopware Administration.
